did search on low speed steering noise..seems like alot of tegs have it...question
imma fill my p/s level to the max on the resiavor tomorrow see if it goes away. but ive researched seems like alot of ppl have this problem in cold weather,...steering makes a slight groan noise at low speeds or from a stop usually during cold weather due to bushing/or seal.and just needs to be lubed up..wondering if acura has a tsb on it? im no longer on warranty and wondering if anyone knows if thers a tsb on 01 integras for it thanx
Same thing happened to me every winter in my 2000 GSR. The dealer just lubed the bushings in the steering column and it would go away, although it would return every year when it got cold.
how much u think they would charge? ehhh i work at a dealership..gm though one of these weekends when im free i guess i'll do it myself and ask the techs where the steering bushings are ...but yeah how much did they charge you?
It was under warranty every time, I just sold it with slightly less than 50k miles on it. So it was always free of charge. I gave the new owner all the paperwork, so I don't remember what exactly it said. I am pretty sure it is the steering joint (part #53323-S04-003) if you want to look it up on acuraparts247.com and do it yourself.
Search it by clicking part, pick your car, then dont type in any search terms, click the button that says list system or something, then click steering column and the picture will appear.
