Default will these rings fit?

i can get my hands on a set of JE std bore pistons rings and i wanna know if these will fit directly on a stock PR3 B16 std bore. i can get em for about $40

i just got a set of brand new PR3 pistons in the mail today and the guy i baught it from already put the stock rings onto the piston. being the excited 'kid' i am, i was look n at em. i proceeded to remove the rings from the pistons so that i can gap them later on when im rebuild n my motor, but i didnt have one of those piston ring expander tools that helps u install the rings onto the piston, so i used my hands to get them out. i knew in the back of my head that i shouldnt do this and just wait to go to my friends shop and use his tools, but i was too impatient. well because of my impatientness i snapped one of the compression rings. i know im a retard! so thats why im in the need of new rings.

should i just go to honda and pick up a set of rings for just one piston? how much will that cost if anyone knows.

recap: will JE rings fit std B16 pistons and should i just get one set of OEM honda rings (price for one set of rings please (compression rings))
look n for the cheaper solution

I am not positive but I think the ring lands would be different? Best bet is to get a set of OEM rings.

don't look for the cheap way out when it comes to building a motor. You can buy the ring sets individually from honda, should be like $25 or so for one piston from Len on H-T. I know they were on backorder for awhile, not sure now though.

thanks. well i know that i shouldnt cheap out the engine build process, but im not gonna use cheap knock off brand stuff. stick n with OEM or resectable companies. i only need one compression ring so i'll just take a spin over to honda tomrrow and pick one up

youre going to have to buy the set, all the oil and compression rings, but you can buy the sets individually, just for the one piston.
