gsr with type r pistons? any port and polish shops?
hey i gotta 94 gsr and i live in so cal. wondering if theres any good shops that would port and polish my head for a reasonable price? anyone know any? and i also wanna upgrade my pistons. would itr pistons be a good upgrade or the civic type r ones? which ones would be more reliable and safer? and oh anyone know gear ratios on b16 trannis and mph on each gear? thanx for the info.
your gonna spend too much money on a pnp job, especially in socal...here's my opinion, buy a dremel from home depot, get the pnp dremmel bit kit from summitracing, buy a helms service mannual from pep boys, search the internet on instructions and do it urself...it'll be a lot less costly and a lot more rewarding...
oh yeah, i forgot to tell you to buy some asprin, that ****'s gonna give you a giant headache. good luck

yeah...port and polish yourself is easy.
However, don't use a dremel with a 1/8" chuck. It's too easy to break those.
Get a good electric die grinder with a 1/4" chuck and speed controller off Ebay +
get the Standard Abrasives porting kit and guide (search web for it).
