Default Carbon Fiber interior kit on the R's

A Civic driver was hating on my factory interior kit on my 01 R. I didn't take offense, mainly because he drives a civic. So here is the question???? Is it fake or is it just a different kind of CF????? I know it doesn't really matter its just for looks, but I would like to know....

Its fake - and kind of iffy... Looks like the "carbon fibre" that apc lines their altezza lights with.. When I get bored I am going to switch around my jdm gauge cluster bezel with a usdn one - it will look much better..

ceas..

I like the black CF too, but the fact is that the other kits have 3M tape on them and use glue, so I wouldn't change it. I saw the center piece alone sell for $250 on ebay.

For some reason the 2001 Canadian Type R's have plain black instead of fake cf. Leather shift ****, red interior, CW paint, no fake cf... Looks like we got all the goodies!

Check my sig. It is a very nice kit and it is very easy to put on as well. I have had nothing but compliments on it from everyone who has been in my car.

Oh yeah, I got mine from Mike at IPS Racing.

I have a really nice kit in mine, ill try to post a pic. Im not sure who makes it because it was there when i bought the car. Any of you guys from VA know a Asian guy that had a 98 ITR with the last name of Lee? I bought my car 16 monthes ago from him, he lived in Tysons Corner, VA i think. He had to sell it because he moved to San Fran?
