That's the only place in the car where I can reach it while belted in. I figure:

Best case - It doesn't get in the way when I get the hell out of the car

Next best case - I can reach it while belted in, unclip it, and use it

Next next best case - I can just squeeze it where it's bolted in, and it's already aiming up front, if things totally get out of hand

I have practiced this many times with the old stock seats. However, it will be a little more difficult with the new setup, and will take some time to get used to. Still, there's nowhere else I would put it and still be able to use it if I need to.
