I have been having a problem lately getting my car to go into 2nd gear. It seems really hard to get in. There have been a couple times when i think it is in and just pops out or i almost have to shove it in. It has just started happening since it has gotten cold.

So does the cold weather have something to do with it? cause after i drive for a while it seems fine.

I asked a friend of mine and his is smei hard to get in when it is cold as well.(he as an Si)

almost sounds like a synchro but if it clears after driving then might just need to change the fluid..i know mine shifts smooth from the get go and it gets kinda cold here from time to time.

 

i am due for inspection anyway. i'll just have the dealership look at it

 

The same was happening to me, so when i took it in for it's 15k i had them take alook at it and they just changed the fluid an everything was back to norm. i don't know how bad yours is but mine would just give me troubles when it was cold as well. Still does it in the cold but after the car warms up its like cutting butter with a hot knife.
