on my gsr intake mani i removed the whole butterfly middle plate would i gain any hp or tq im running a p72 ecu i knoe u need a single stage ecu like a p30 or 28 or whatever but i have vafc with this can i get any more power , any one?????
i also have cam gears if that helps?????

Are you serious??? The butterfly plate controls the amount of air flowing into the intake manifold. Dont you think if this would create more HP than top fuel dragsters would have them removed......
The TB controls how much air goes into the engine. The butterfly plate controls how much of that air is going in. In theory if you removed the plate system and cleaned up the ports, it would flow better, but I think you'd need at least a different ecu and a vafc to make it work right. You'll lose a lot of midrange for sure.
if i get a p30 u think it will help a shop says when gsr's run a single stage if throws off the fuel curve wouldnt this be sorta the same thing for example skunk2 he said that i can use vafc to correct it , but i dont u need another ecu cause of the butterflys operation???
didnt read whole thread so i dont know if this was covered but---
longer skinnier runners are better for low end power and torque while wider shorter runners are ideal for high end power... the GSR mani gives you both, to take it out is just stupid ur hurting your low end. i think the gsr mani is a better mani then any aftermarket mani interms of all around power. you basically get all the advantages of a edelbrock short mani and a skunk or type r long mani... butterfly kicks ***. honda did it for a reason
