CEL codes, car bucking and jumpy idle ....
Hi all,
First off, I have a 98 Integra with JDM H22 swap. Car has run perfect for the last 6 months, no probs ... till today.
First off, I live in Ottawa Canada and we got our first dump of snow this morning and there was some fairly major slush everywhere. (I know I know ... it's her last winter ... no more for her, beater next winter)
I was driving to work this AM and all of a sudden my car started bucking, so I let off the gas and my idle is now jumping from 900 ish to about 1300 RPM constantly .. fairly quikly too, maybe once up and down per second.
I'm like 30 feet from my parkign spot so I try to limp it to my parking spot, every time I come down on the gas pedal it starts buckign again, more gas = more violent bucking, it was directly proportional.
My CEL comes on and I get codes 12, 14, 20, 36
I know 36 is a ghost code and my EGR isn't wired so that rules out 12 as well.
I'm now left with:
14 IAC Valve
20 Electrical Load Detector
After leaving the car off for 15-20 mins, starts up and runs perfect, drive it for 15-20 mins and my symptoms re-appear. I've seen some threads about the knock sensor being dirty/broken causing this prob but figured I'd ask on here to see if anyone here can save me all the troubleshooting.
Any info/input muchly appreciated.
Si
