ARRC Enduro

ARRC Enduro

Even more ARRC Enduro

You could've covered Perry, Rebstock and I with a blanket most of the ARRC race...

The order constantly changed, the proximity didn't...

My first NASA HPDE at Summit, I gridded next to this really nice BMW 325 in a nice Lightweight livery (white with red and purple checkers) driven by Frank-somebody (I think). I believe it was his first season racing.
Anyway, he comes barreling back to the pits after one race on Saturday, comes to a rather abrupt halt, starts flipping off belts in haste. Climbs out of the car exclaiming "I can't believe it!". Runs around to the other door, opens his arms wide and says "Look at that!". There was a huge, dark 25" dia donut nearly centered on his door. Evidently, he was coming down the chute and a GT1 Camaro (that had closing speed of 50-60 mph on the rest of the big-bore field) had tried to push his way inside, and in the process, branded the BMW.
After a moment, Frank looks up with a smile on his face and says, "That is so cool!"

Nice pics! I see that some of the other C cars are showing off just how much more daylight they can have under the inside rear tire than you.
Gordon Jolley has a ton of awesome pictures from the ARRC as well as a lot of other events. However in my opinion this has to be the best one on there. But... I suppose I may be a little biased.
Too bad that had to be lap 1 instead of lap 20!

Tis true. Very much so.
Perry's car seems to pull the inside rear up like airplane landing gear. You can see LOTS of daylight under there.
Mine just seems to consistently lift it a couple of inches at every track in most every turn. I'm OK with that, as the car handles wonderfully.

That shot reminds me that we found the "cooooooolest" place to watch a race from at RA - up on the hill (cliff if you will) above T5 (kinda looking down on cars getting on the curbing and watching them drive away over the hill from us out of 5 on their way to 6 (so not watching cars come at us in T5). Suuuuper cool view.
