first thing i would do would be suspension, and then the normal i/h/e, but i would do it in the order - intake, header, then exhaust, just because that's what erick aguilar recommended, and i bet he knows what he's talking about.

Well before you listen to anyone say, "Intake, header, and exhaust," or "turbo," or anything. Ask yourself this.
What is the goal of your car? Do you have a power goal? Do you have something else? Is it a daily driver? Is it going to be a auto-cross car? A drag car? A fully non-street legal car?
The reason I am asking is this. You need to purchase performance parts wisely. If you start out with an intake, header, and exhaust....but then decide you want a lot more power, you will need some sort of forced induction, such as a turbo. All the parts you just purchased need to be taken off the car and either thrown away or sold.
Same with suspension. What kind of goal do you want?
Answer these few questions and we can better help you out.

It also really depends on your budget and how much you really want to mod your car over the years. You could save yourself a lot of money if you had an idea of what you wanted to do.
Also, take it from my own personal experience, dont go cheap on parts.....invest into good quality parts. You'll be a lot happier in the long run

I actually have a question about modifying for performance. Does it make sense to get a header first without the exhaust? or would it be better just to save up and get both the header and exhaust at the same time? My goal for my Teg is to just add more HP. I do eventually want to turbo the car so I plan on purchasing parts for turbo. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Well if you plan on getting a turbo, why even get a header and an exhaust? You'd be wasting your money. A turbo is a large investment and a GOOD modification. With just a kit, you can go anywhere from 200hp to like 500+hp with simply reinforcing your internal engine components.
I'd suggest, looking at your goal, and start saving for turbo pieces now. Turbo is not like something where you can just one day say, "I want a turbo, I want it now, and I want to put it on now." It is expensive and unless you have almost $4K+ to throw down, you need to start piecing it together now.
All motor cars with intakes, headers, exhausts, and whatnot, are different. You can buy parts and throw them on. Save a little more, buy another part and throw it on.
