Does the smoke have any smell to it? I would check heater and coolant hoses, heater valve, oil filter and oil cooler for leaks. Check engine oil to see if it is milky.( blown head gasket)
coolant burns white...double check ur oil and make sure its not milky. if it is, then its cause of ur head gasket and coolant and flowing in there. do you have over heating problems too?

Man o' man.. Problems problems ever since I got my 92 lude. It looks mean, but it has been a bad experience for me since buying it a couple months ago. I am having the same type of problem, so maybe some of you guys can give me ideas on what may be causing it as I will bring it to a mechanic tomorrow. I hope it isn't serious.
During every drive I can smell a bad burning scent throughout my car coming through my vents. So I popped my hood, and I believe its white smoke, but its kind of hard to tell if its that or blue, coming from behind my valve cover area and floating around/over the pgm-fi. I can see slight oil around the valve cover, so is this most likely a blown gasket? The burning smell permeates throughout my interior and it is getting pretty bad..
I don't have any overheating problems or anything of that nature. However, I do notice a slightly abnormal loss of oil. Any ideas?? I need to get this fixed asap!
Thanks guys

the smoke could be just oil burning off the engine. thats what my mechanic said....but just get it diagnosed and checked...
Yeah I figured that could be the problem, or my valve cover needs to be sealed better. I can smell burn, and a little smoke, but its not excessively smoking or anything. The smoke is easier to notice after parking my car in the garage after a drive. The burning smell inside my car is pretty bad though.
Did you have any burning smell inside your car?

You also should check behind the engine where the oil cooler is. Check to see if you are getting a oil the exhaust . If you are, you need to check the oil switch, the oil cooler o-ring and the oil pan gasket.
Alright. I'll check those, because the smoke does seem to be coming from somewhere behind the valve cover/engine area. If oil is in my exhaust, when and what kind of smoke should I see?
thanks
thanks
