water in hatch area
ive got a small problem with water getting into where the spare tire goes. i have no clue how or why. i checked the seals .... checked for rust .... nothing looks bad at all.
is there a drain plug anywhere that i just dont know about? this is kinda freakin me out and pissin me off.
if there isnt ... should i make one and insert a rubber seal of some kind? or a plug ...
any help would be great

check your tailight gaskets, make sure they are not ripped, torn, old, or just plain worn out. If so, buy some new gaskets. That might be the problem.
I know why. I just had this problem. Here's one of the two that it could be. Hurry and fix or you'll end up like me, I got so much that it went under my back seats and all over my carpet, I didn't notice anything until I feel the carpet squish evertime I got in and out, it smelt bad and I had to take my entire interior out and dry everything. Disaster. Here's how to avoid.
1.It is most likely your taillight gasket, they are 100 dollars at Honda dealership to replace 50 for each. If you have a friend such as I do who can get a discount or who works at a Honda dealership, then they will be 40. But do what I did, I bought brand: Permatex Silicone Adhesive sealent 66B (8$). Go to a Napa autoparts store or a hardware store Just apply to your old gaskets(if they are torn then you will absolutely need to buy new ones) thouroghly and generously between ur gaskets and the metal of your car, this is permanent, so if you have the dough go buy the real ones from a Honda dealership.
2. ALso make sure all 10 nuts are on your tailights, secure them tightly, give them an extra spin onece they stop, but not too hard but tighter than usual.
3.Then fold down ur backseats, take out your backcarpet and your tire or whatever so u can see taillights, have someone with a water hose spray your trunck while it is closed, watch and see if any water trickles in from or aorund the nuts or the open holes where you should have applied the silicone.
4.It could be ur brakelight, if you have one that is mounted to ur window. Make sure no water is trickling in from here either. Put silicone between the rubber seals and the window, not between the seals and the brakelight, tighten the nuts harder than usual and watch as well after you have done this.
5. My best advice, go buy new seals from Honda dealership if you think that is where the water is coming from, they are easy to replace, take off 10 nuts on 2 taillights, remove old rubber gaskets, place new ones in and bolt back ur headlihgts. simple easy.
6.Or be evenmore ghetto and go to a hardware store Lowes, Home Depot and find a piece of rubberish stuff similar to your gaskets and cut them out to spec of your old ones make sure the thickness is the close to the same as the original ones.
any questions contact me.

As far as I know the OEM taillight gaskets are about $25 each, and there are a total of 12 nuts on the taillights, 6 on each.
My whole interior has been getting soaked, and I have yet to find the problem. I replaced my taillight gaskets, but that didn't fix it.

well .... i guess i should start with the gaskets. do i have to go to Acura? or can i get these at a Honda dealer? (the honda dealer is a lot closer and plus my friend works there ... maybe a little discount)
