BEWARE of the EBay seller JDMKit. He is a swindler that violates EBay policy.

Please read my story so this doesn't happen to you.

I was looking for a new shift **** to replace my worn 1994 EK shift **** so I started searching on EBay. I found this sweet shift **** that was a Mugen knock-off and was being sold by a seller named JDMKit. It was really inexpensive and wasn't a cheap Autozone ****. It actually screwed onto the stock threaded shifter.

I clicked on "Buy now" so that I wouldn't have to wait or risk losing the item to another person. But instead of the usual screen I get that tells me to pay for an item using my Paypal account, I got a screen saying the seller would contact me. Strike number one, the seller didn't accept Paypal payments.

A little later that day, the seller, JDMKit, emailed me and told me to follow a link to "his" own website and to search for the item, add it to my cart, then checkout and pay for it. Strike two. The seller is violating EBay policy by linking EBay listed items to an external store website.

But being the trusting, understanding person I am, I decided to follow through with the instructions I was sent because I wanted the shift ****. So I did as instructed and got to the payment system. I entered my card info and clicked Submit... and BAM! page error. I was freaked I was already shaken up at that point but this was a dead give away. It was a scam. I checked EBay's policies and found that external stores are a no-no. So I reported the seller to EBay. I recieved an email from EBay support informing me not to pay for the item. So I didn't try again.

Then JDMKit emailed me and asked why I hadn't paid for the item. I told him that I reported him to EBay and he said he was going to file a notice of nonpayment.

Well today EBay granted his wish and my EBay account is frozen. After he violates their policy, and I'm instructed not to pay, he still wins. Although my card was never charged, now I can't surf EBay anymore. So I'm sueing EBay and the seller unless the restriction is removed. I shouldn't be forced into buying something from a seller when they are doing something illegal in the first place.

Be warned! Stay clear of all items on EBay listed by JDMKit
