Default wanted to hook up another amp, what do i have to do?

waasup guys, I have a 93 Civic Hatchback, right now i am running a pair of Infinity component speakers powered by a RF 2 channel amp with a sony head. My question is what do i need if i want to hook up another amp for a sub? i have a 8 gauge amp kit and do i have to loom another power wire to the second amp or what? also, i heard someone said if i have 2 or more amp i may need a capicitor, i saw 1 and 2 farad. what are these numbers? well you can always run a single much larger cable such as a 0awg to the back into a distribution block then from there you can branch off to your other amps. the only downfall to this is that its more money than running a single wire and you can suffer from a voltage drop on your front amp when the bass hits. its also probably gonna be tough to run 0awg if you cant run 2 8awg wires.
