Default Need help ASAP anyone that is awake please post

Ok guys & gals reading this. Currently my civic won't start. Once upon inserting key in the ignition, it will not rotate. I've been having some issue with it before, but just moving the key around would work and it would completely turn. I go out for lunch now and the friggin thing won't turn.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do as temporary fix to get it started so I can drive back home later. Also should I just get another key made and see if it's that the teeth on the key are just worn out.

Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

um, maybe try turning the wheel? sometimes if the wheel is locked it wont let your key turn. if the key is really old or your ignition is old (someone tryed to start your car with a different key or different object) that could be it too.

try flipping the key around and try both sides

sometimes if you get keys copied and the guy whos cutting the key doesn't debur them properly it won't work that great.

try cutting another key.

Thanks for the replies. Already tried the steering wheel scenario as this is the case most of the time, but it is currently unlocked. I locked it thinking that maybe it would trigger the ignition to unlock, but that didn't occur.

I tried flipping the key as well.

Guess I'll have to wait until the morning time and go to a Honda dealer and just have them make me a key.

This really sucks friggin 3am and I have this dilemma at work.
