BAD NEWS
No. Your insurance company should pay for the damages after you pay your deductible. Most insurance companies give you the money to replace yourself. So instead of buying OEM, just place it with what you had.
icic but don't the insurance appoint u you to a certain body shop or something where they get all the quotes n stuff. Shiet i have no clue about this stuff. thanks for the help tho
I got into a accident with my 03 type s and they had a guy come out to my house to check it out. First I went to my shop (Its a real high end body shop) where Im friends w/ the owner and I asked him to give me a quote on the work. He said like $2700 (It really didn't look that bad he just jacked it up for me so id get more from the insurance) Well when the guy came out he looked it over and I showed him the quote from my shop, which he was familiar with, and he gave me $2400.
The front bumper was only a little f@#ked up, the headlights were fine besides for a crack on the pass. one that you could see, and the hood was slightly scraped in the very front.
I took the money bought a body kit, carbon fiber hood, JDM headlights and lowering springs. So I came out ahead.

Your mods won't void any warranties. I called my dealer and asked if my I/H/E would void it and they said no. They only void it if improper installation of that part caused something else to break.
