trying to clean off some smoked taillights

Default trying to clean off some smoked taillights

some idiot smoked some JDM crx taillights, so i picked them up cheap, hoping to clean them off. Anyone know of a safe way i can remove the spray without ruining the plastic finish?

try aircraft stripper. dont know about it on plastic, but i see alot of people use that to get paint off. sorry, but thats what i would say.

how thick is it? have you tried a little goo gone?

oven cleaner works good....will take the paint off and it won't ruin the plastic.

tilex... I did my tails with candy apple red from Testors, and in about 99 I wanted to peel it off... Tilex did the trick, just gotta let is soak in a little.

if not, the only other way is wetsanding and polishing... I've done that too on lenses.
