Default OEM optional lip kit. do you need this?

EDIT: might be in the wrong forum, but i think the ITR owners would appreciate this more.

i just recently repainted my car and i ripped the rubber seals on the sideskirts. took me forever to find, but i found a identical (1mm thicker then the original) replacement for it. you can find it in the link provided. some people like it and some dont, but i wanted the complete oem look. well, onto the pics and comparison...

http://www.trimlok.com/fenderflaretrim.htm

heres the trimlok trim v.s. oem rubber seal

heres it installed on the sidskirt

nice find...i almost tore off the oem strip from mine because i hated the way it looked, but luckily the shop advised me not to and painted it as well. looks perfect now with the rubber strip painted and would have fit crappy with gaps if the strip was gone. your find should help those who bought used kits without the rubber seal

If you want to have them installed correctly, then yes you need them.

Man !! I wish you would have posted this earlier !! A couple of months back I could not find this trim anywhere and I ended up buying an extra set of rear lips just so I could spend 2 hours carefully peeling the trim off to install on my car .. This is a great find !!

BTW: Before you ask, the extra lips were sold "trim-less"
