Alright i said i wouldn't do it again but I am currently buying another integra gsr! The price was around my recent one so I decided to get another integra....This will be my 3rd integra gsr and I need any information or recommended alarms or whatever to not let this be my 3rd stolen integra....I tried to get a subaru impreza rs but the one i tried to get was sold before I had time to go buy it.

The car i bought is not as great as my 2nd integra but the mileage is lower....I should be recieving it tormmow and i went against my own words on saying not to buy another integra but i did oh well lol...

But if anybody is reading this I will open to trades plus cash later on for a 98 n up subaru impreza rs

But as you all know these damn integras are thieves magnet and they get jacked all the time to people who are a bunch of pathetic losers who cant respect other people stuff....

no joke there, my car got keyed from front to back. the only thing they did not touch was my wing and my mirrors. insurance was lowballed at 4500 and i was quoted between 5 and 6 grand just to paint it. not take out the dings either but to paint it.

Did they tow your car away or hot wire it? just wondering because depending on the situation you can kill the power but still have it flat bedded out.

I've had my car broken into a few times, but luckily never stolen. It does suck though saying your "lucky" to just have it broken into. Alarm wise, as long as you have a backup battery I would say any decent alarm should do. If they really want to get it they will. I am sure you've heard that before

I would:

Make sure I could park in a garage if not get a cover. At least its just one more hassle ya know they would hafta get through.

Detachable Steering Wheel

Kill switch (switches)

Relocate hood cable

* never leave any valuables in your car in plain sight

Just some suggestions... they work for me.. (knock on wood)

 

use 2 foot clubs, steering wheel lock, and car alarm, .

 

do this. but i've learned if they want they will just tow it.
1. install nice alram(ebay good prices on namebrand alarms) like Vipor with built in kill swith
2. installpager alarm(piggybacks onto main alarm, also on Ebay), so you are awakened when they get into your car and you can shoot them in the knee cap and ram a Louisville slugger up their corn hole, no vasoline
3.buy that break lock thingy, but put it on your clutch pedal so they can't start car
4.buy detachable steering wheel or club for your current one(clubs arn't great but they are just one more nunsence for the theif
5.remove hood latch into inside of your engine bay.
6.disconnect your trunk cable completely, right where u pull switch for trunk open, just fiddle with it and the cable pops out.
7.always take out ur cd deck
8.get as many kill switches as you can stand
9. in severe cases, unhook something in your engine bay, such as your battery, or your whatever, more things work im just not sure what will
10. curb lock look dumb but they are very good
11. wheel locks
12.a back up battery for a second siren put behind the enige near the bottom of the car so they can not reach it
13. set your sensor on your alarm to high so it goes off all of the time
14. there's more to do, get creative don't let those ****'s get ur car

 

thanks for the input ill look into the alarms and that pager on ebay Also Ill figure a way for those kill switches with my mechanic friend...steering wheel is nice also.....good idea about car cover ill proably do that....

they hotwired my second car when i was visiting my sister in sacramento right off the driveway........ It was a nice neighborhood so i really thought nothing off it and I did actually hear my car getting jacked by a big pop and engine running ( i stayed up late brain no work well)...anyways 1st mistake was the alarm was malfunctioning when i bought the car so I didnt have the time to get a new one yet....
The car was stripped of everything and the only left my hatch shell i mean EVERYTHING was gone....i liked the car it was championship white/blue pearl 2000 front and back bumpers/shaved moldings/dropped on grouncontrols

The bitch part also was half my clothes were in the car/bowling ball/poolstick/ and I left my wallet in there ...and i was going to take it out but I went to a picnic and forgot about it...but it was in the middle console out of sight.Also that night i usually drive home to not fight traffic in the day and some other things return stuff at Fry's and a carwash....It is a total luck thing i had bad luck lol....What hurts is liability on that car!!!!!! I WILL NEVER GET LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE

My first integra was jacked also but with an alarm in 2000 but i had full coverage this one didnt so it really hurt....
The type r got stolen parts out of the car but never stolen that is the funny thing but lucky.

Currently now im buying a red gsr NOT fond of red but i will live with it and its gettin full coverage also I think i have pictures of it stripped i forgot to post them on HT if i can find them this is a result of a lowlife lol...


as for the security upgrades, That is my number one priority for the car. Thanks for the input and now u have heard my life story of integras lol
