why doesn't anyone make a flat top high compression (12.5:1+) piston?
Wouldn't it have to go past the block height, interfering with the head? It'd probably hit the valves too. Just a guess.
A flat top in a honda @12.5 will provide an improper area of quench Thus detonation will be a problem that will have be resolved
There is nothing wrong with the piston extending say 30 thou past deck heigth actually this technique will minimize headgasket failure and unburned hydro's as well as provide a much better quench pad to absorb and redistribute detonation fractuals
