does this work with no problems?
it should fit, because there are 2 standard sizes and i assume that both are single din.
it should also be direct plugin. if you think about it, the aftermarket adapters are the same for all civics, so the oem radios would have to be the same

Pin-out and plug should be identical, fitment might.............not be. My 98 EX, the stock radio has this stupid little curve on the left side, so the only way to fit an aftermarket in there properly is to get a dash kit. You could probably tell easy enough just by looking at the hole and looking at the face of the OEM player.

They are interchangeable and plug right up. I am assuming you are talking about OEM cd players of course. I have a 92-96 prelude, 94+ Integra, 92-96 accord, and 92-95 civic cd players are all swappable and useable with the same harness as long as its a single din. You can use 99-00 Civic headunits but you have to get a reverse harness to fit the head unit and a regular adapter harness for civic/teg to get it to work
