ATTENTION: Calling all 2000 LS VSM integras
Hey guys I want to ask you that own 2000 LS integra owners if your cars came with an ugly pinstripe along the sides. I have one and it is grayish and blue. It blows. I want to take it off but I cant seem to catch the edge of it. Is it under the clearcoat?

Honda does not apply pinstripes on their cars from the factory. It was either dealer applied or painted on afterward. Hope this helps.

Ah thank you. I think it was dealer applied then. It looks pretty professionally done so it was probably the dealer. **** I dont know man, I recentyl waxed my car maybe thats why I cant feel the edge of it, I hope it is a sticker and not under the clear coat. ****!

mine had it when i got my 96, but i just peeled it off and buffed the leftver glue off, cant even tell it was there, that sucks hope it wasnt clear coated over, good luck

it might be painted on bro....my 95ls has the damn pinstripe and its not a decal...mines painted on....i tried alot of diff ways to try and remove it....one way i tried was to tape off the area above and below one of the stripes...then lightly use some paint stripper, and scrape it off quickly before it sinks into the actual paint. another way that somebody mentioned was an "eraser wheel" u can use with a drill....i guess its made to remove pinstripes, but i havent found one yet.....hope i could be of help

**** thats ghey. I thought that no hondas came from the factory with a pinstripe and they were dealer installed. Well, how could it be cleared over if it was already clearcoated at the honda plant? Or how could they paint over the clear coat? That wouldn't stay on there. Hmm. I will have a good look tomorrow.
