Default H23 swap to-----H22

I have a 93 honda prelude, which has an H23 motor inside of it. I just recently received my JDM H22, and i went to this mechanic guy who told ME, that i needed the Vtec wiring harness because my h23 harness was not compatible....sooo i have been reading posts, and i finally joined H-T.Can any one tell me if thats true or not.Do i just need to wire Vtec, and the NOX sensor, and or what else?

Here's what you use off your old motor.

wiring harness
distributor
fuel rail

Then you have to run two wires for vtec.

There's a thread on that in the sticky's.

Sounds like the mechanic doesn't know anything
about this swap.
I'd probably take it to someone else or do it yourself
if I were you.

Good Luck

I thought 93+ Ludes were pre-wired for VTEC.

whoops my bad.

He'll still need the connectors to hook up
to the vtec op switch and solenoid though
