Default Help w/ my little Honda XR70...shift lever problems

I got this XR70 little dirt bike to just play around on, and the damn shift lever seems unusually hard to downshift. When I get my foot under the shift lever to lift it to downshift from lets say 4th to 3rd, it seems really stiff. Is there an adjustment for this? It is a semi-automatic tranny, so it enables you to cycle through the gears, but it seems pretty tight when down shifting. Any help would be nice. Thanks

I know it's not a CBR or anything, but it's still a Honda. Help me out!

Are you letting off the gas a bit before you shift?

Ya im letting off. I have ridden one of these before and it was a lot easier to down shift. I know there has to be some way to adjust it. I just need to know where and how

The screw on the side case that has a nut to look it adjusts the clutch. When I put my clutch in my xr50 I had to adjust this because i was having trouble shifting it. Give that I try and see if it helps. I forget what whay you turn it to do what. You will just have to play with it.
