Default using B18 mock up motor for fab parts....really using a B16 motor.....anything to worry about?

i cna't remember....is a b18 just lower at hte bottom than a B16? so technically the only thing that should matter would be the downpipe? which if it fit a b18..it would easily fit a b16? or am i totally wrong on this?

since this is kinda related ima ask here:

i've seen those "fake/mock up motors" type deals like on american hotrod. i don't know what kind of material its made of but its very light and it exactly resembles whatever type of motor they plan on actually using. I'm sure no one has made one for our honda motors but does anyone know if they plan to?

i sorta made my own....ive heard of what your talking about but never seen it. i took a broken b series transmissoin and took EVERYTHING out of it. im using a GSR block thats broken and took out everything crank pistons rods ect....and took a broken type R head and took all the valve train out of it.

you can't really pick it up because of its size...but 2 people can easilly pick it up high enough to set it in an engine bay. i painted it too to make it pretty haha

Are you sure? I am almost postive that the only b-series with a shorter deck is b20.

A b16 is just a destroked b18

b16 has a shorter deck height then the other bseries engines,

honda made the deck height taller when they stroked the motor and got 1.8 ect ect

Yes this is correct, the B18 and B20 blocks are 8.9mm taller than the B16.
