I've never seen an inline 4-cyl Engine that didn't have that firing order. My trooper had it, my CBR900 RR had it, my 88 escort had it, 97 saturn single cam and 99 saturn dual cam had it, a 1970s welder i worked on, with a pushrod engine had it. All my CRX and Civics had it.I suggest you tru again and mayben RJAY is right about your carb or something.
