hmm i could've sworn it's called a "propeller" shaft.

So you don't think this shaft drives the rear wheels?

bling bling go fast parts! you can get the J's stuff from any j's dealer, AJ racing, A-t-s-usa.com etc etc etc.
For you '04 guys, make sure J's has an application for the "propeller" shaft since the yoke flanges are different for the '04 and up models compared to the '00-'03.

i'm just confused on the terminology (never been good with the names). i thought driveshafts are the shafts that come out of the differential from both sides(directly to the wheels). i also thought the propeller shaft is the shaft that goes b/w the tranny and differential. someone please correct me if im wrong.

You have the right idea because you are thinking of the tranny for a FF car where the diff is inside the tranny and the driveshafts power the each of the front wheels. The diff on a FR car is obviously outside the tranny and has "half-shafts" transfering power to each of the rear wheels.

You are correct but I'm under the assumption that a propeller shaft is just a fancy name for driveshaft.

oooh so they're called "halfshafts". makes sense just by the way they look and function. thanks for clearing my terminology up.

you have to remember that on an S2K, the engine is set behind the front wheels and isn't too far from the rear wheels making the distance shorter therefore having a shorter prop shaft.
