trying this in the appearance section ........... I have a question about mirrors
Hello I need some help.
I have been wanting to add heated side view mirrors to my 94 integra rs four door now for a while. I can not find anyone who makes them for the integra though.
I thought about gluing a heating element to the back side of the mirrors but don't know if that would cause the epoxy or what ever is holding the mirror on to loose it's grip so to speak.
I found these replacement mirrors
http://www.germanstuff4you.com...Id=18
The company had some on an ebay listing along with a list of cars that it would fit on, and while my integra wasn't on there they did have the honda civic on the list.
My question is, since the integra is based on the civic's platform (at least that's what I have always been told) if I got these mirrors would they fit on my car? or close enough that I could modify them to fit? I can probably figure out the electric bit of it myself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks in advance

1# side mirrors.......you know ones that are heated.... like on a higher end car.
2# There is nothing wrong with my side mirrors. I just want them to be heated so that I don't have to scrape the ice off or wipe the dew off of them.
3# Yeah sorry about the link not working... it worked when I first posted this. it is on this site anyways under mirrors.

Hahaha. Its a Honda dude.
Hahaha. Its a Honda dude.
Yeah I know that's why I don't have heated mirrors........... I meant like on a bmw, mercedes, cadallic, etc.
They have heated side view mirrors, and the web site I had attached to this thread has replacement side view mirrors for sale that say they will fit on a honda civic.
So my question is basically besides another integra what other honda cars have side view mirrors that would fit on my integra? or close enough to just be slightly modified to fit?

All I want to know really is if I order a set of aftermarket heated side view mirrors for a honda accord or honda civic of the same generation as my integra will they fit on my car?

now that is just peer lazyness..it will take just as long for you mirrors to heat up as appose to wiping them off

True it is being lazy..... but then again it's the same idea as power windows, door locks, mirrors, etc.
The question still stands unanswered though............. what other side view mirrors will fit on my integra?

That's not really true. It's the same idea as a rear defroster...I dunno about northern CA or whatever, but in NY my mirrors can freeze over while I'm driving. Heated mirrors are a great idea and they're not just for high end cars. Like I said before, they're stock on EM1s and BB6s in Canada.

Don't Civic mirrors fit Integras? I know I've seen Civics with teg mirrors, maybe it requires a little modifying, but find someone in Canada with an EM1 Civic Si (SiR there) who's selling their mirrors.
Then just get em on your car and you should be set.

Yeah, they do make your car perform better by helpin you see in a snowstorm. My mirrors ice over all the time, a huge pain to be drivin in heavy snow while trying to reach out my window periodically to break ice off the mirror.

Yep, I know for a fact you could get em on their EM1 SiR and EP3 SiR.

thats not the point and you know it, if it were than you would drive an suv. if its that bad id worry about safety factors that far exceed heated mirrors.

way to lay it on him man.
i wouldnt mind having heated mirrors. CTs got cold winters, and when that side mirrors is frozen over, it isnt fun to open the window and start scraping.

We're talking about mirrors, I didn't say my car sucks in the snow, I said the mirrors do. My car with its winter tires on drives just as well in the snow as anything else.
I'd like to have heated mirrors on my car, because we have sick winters where I live. What's wrong with that? I should sell my car and buy an SUV because I don't like my side mirrors icing over? That makes no sense at all...
I really don't understand what you're saying...it's incomprehensible to me to think that someone should buy an SUV, the exact opposite of the kind of car they like, just because of ice on the mirrors...as if all SUVs have heated mirrors anyway. Especially when there are OEM heated mirrors available for various Hondas.
Maybe Honda just massively missed the point by installing those wicked-expensive $30 heaters in the EM1s in Canada.

I for one think it's an awesome idea and I plan to look into it. I know my friend has a canadian EM1 and has them. I was wondering does anyone know if there is a site like hondaautiomotiveparts for a canadian dealer?

Thank you.......... see someone got the point I was trying to make.....
That is what my original question was. Do honda civic or accord mirrors fit on an integra? Well that has made up my mind I am going to order the ones from the germanstuffforyou web site and see if I can't figure a way to install them.....
Thanks for all you guys help.... I will let you know how it turns out
