Default problem with my stocker - valve/timing belt issue?

well

i snapped my tmiing belt like prolly 5000kms ago, the car has been sitting for 8 months with a brand new timng belt and water pump. but now when i start it up, (only when cold) its giving a vicious knock, once it warms up it goes away

i need to show the car tomorrow to see if i can sell it

anything i can do to quiet this noise, or what is the problem? did i bend a valve when i did the timing belt in? or wut?

youre asking us how to mask a noise and pawn off a messed up car to an unknowing honda enthusiast?

why dont you fix the problem instead of hiding the noise.

My 89 Civic DX does this (all stock, 60k)

When I first fire up (cold) it makes a tick (more like a broken axle) coming from the cylinder head.. The tick gets louder with RPM until car is warm, then car won't do it for the rest of the day. This car has never been beat on, I'm thinking its just REALLY needs a valve adjustment.

I doubt its a valve, the compression is too low for anything to be fucked up if the belt snaps...
