For those who have shipped a cat back exhaust... Got a question.
I want to sell/ship my cat-back stock exhaust but wonder what's the best way.
How did you ship it? and what did cost?
Sorry if this is OT... But not sure where else to post these questions.
thanks for any help.

Your shipping the stock catback right? I remember Justin shipping his, he just put a label on the b-pipe and axleback and Fed Ex shipped it that way. I think the only thing he did was cover up the tip.
When I got my thermal it was in a big box long box, and ups delieved it to me. I think it was $50.00 for the shipping though I can't remember where I bought it from.
When I sold my stock ITR exhaust, I had the box to my Apexi, so I just threw it in that. The b-pipe stuck out about a foot, but I just bubble wrapped it and was done with it. Shipping was ~$50 with Fedex Ground.

Bubble wrap the biotch and affix a shipping label to it. I have done it a couple of times with no problems.
Fedex ground is the most economical way to go. I just got word that Fedex shipping prices are going up for 2005.

i sold a dc axleback. it was heavy as hell! anyway, i went to usps because they're typically cheaper. i would have two boxes for the axleback, then the b-pipe + testpipe.
I shipped my Mugen Twinloop the other day with its huge *** bpipe for ~$40. I wrapped the bpipe in bubblewrap and it was like $25 by itself. The axleback part i shipped in a box though.

I sent a GReddy about a year ago and it was around $30 just for the shipping from IL to CA. I had kept the box. Shipped it Fedex Ground.

isnt it risky to ship the bpipe without enclosing it in a box? personally if I received a bpipe with only bubblewrap id be like WTF?
Taking into consideration not all carriers "handle with care", id be a bit weary shipping without a box. But if it works ...
