I can't tell you the size for definate, but I can tell you that there is a distinct possibility theat there will be too little material left in the holes to actually chase the threads. Chasers are meant to clean up threads that have debris in them. if you've stripped the material out of the holes, you may have actually removed material, which will comprimise their strength. Personally with a flywheel turning that many rev's I thinkI'd rather purchase a new/used flywheel, and be safe. It'll be cheaper in the long run than having to replace parts that a broken or dislodged flywheel could cause.

new flywheel wont help....you would have to replace the crank.

be carefull whatever you do. my friend had a similar problem...im not sure how he went about fixing it...or if he did....but a couple weeks after he put it back together the flywheel worked its way loose and flew out the case of the transmission. pretty scarry stuff.

see thats why i think its ok, it didn't "eat" the threads up, a good bolt will screw in half way with ease by hand and the threads beyond the couple damaged are also fine...so i figure new bolts plus some thread locker will do the trick!
By the way the tap is a M12x1.00...was super hard to find..had to be custon ordered!
