anybody know another way to take of crank pulley bolt wothout an air gun
Not on the Teg, but w/ other cars I've used 3" long pipes. Just slip it of a socket wrench....a STRONG one.
i used to do this trick lock the flywheel of crank pully then torch the **** outa it around the bolt (not the bolt itself) then just use a 1/2 " breaker bar and a 19mm socket, sit down, hold on to the to hook in the front of the car, and push off of the breaker bar with my feet. sometimes i would have my freind hit the breaker bar with a hammer as i was doing this too. gets it off every time!!!
This has helped me in the past. Get a breaker bar or 1/2 inch ratchet along with a BFH (big ******* hammer) With the socket on the crank pulley bolt give the ratchet a couple firm hits. This of course is alot easier to do when the motor is out of the car but I has worked for me every time. Hope this helps.
You can also heat it up with a torch and that will also help quite a bit just dont set you fender lining on fire.

I ran across this when I purchased my valve adjustement tool. At the time this was one of Schley's new products.

And currently this tool is on sale at a price that is about $10-$20 cheaper than the Moroso.
WELL in reading the helms it says that the bolt is 130 lbs now unless you can produce that then i dunno. i am pist cause i have to do this in an hour or so and i have an impact gun that does 75 LBS and i am doudting that it would take that
bolt off and should I replace the bolt while i'm at it or just use the same one. should i use anti seize

two ways:
1) taking off black flywheel cover and lock flywheel
2) 1/2" wrachet with flex joint and extension locked against chassis, push car while in gear and on the clutch pedal, then drop clutch and it'll crack.
did number 2 many times while at the track.

You know what vtec4gs you one smart son biatch. I would have never even thought of that. That is a good trick to know.
Just put the biggest peice of pipe you can find and put it over the breaker bar and it will come right off. I have done timing so many times, and after the first time it is easy. Muscles and a big pipe can lossen anything.
if you take off the bolts for the black flywheel cover, I think 2-17mm, 2-12mm and 2-10mm bolts you'll get access to the flywheel. Use a prybar to hold the teeth. Use a 1/2" breaker bar and 19mm socket to crack the crank pulley bolt, once you hold the flywheel with prybar, you can crack the bolt with a typical 1/2" drive Craftsman torque wrench... you can also torque it back with that also.
the reason why ppl think you need a long pole is because to crack the bolt the engine does spin slightly whereas if you lock the flywheel its easy as cake and doens;t take that much torque at all.
