as the title states, I can pick up a 99-00 center console fairly cheap..and wanted to know if this piece would fit into a 96-98 Hatch. The 96-98 hatches have the lid cover for the cup holders, where the 99-00 have an open cup holder console.

What you think?

if you're talking about swapping the open cupholders for the ones with the lids, yes it will fit.

And so will all the plastic shrouding around it (arm rest, shift boot etc.)

 

thanks guys! so its mount up just like the 96-98 stock one? I dont need the metal bracket it bolts too?
