Default Best engine mods for N/A h22 ??

I have a 5th gen and just started racing autocross. I ve done springs/shocks, strut towers, brakes, tires, exhuast and cai. Where should i go next with the engine that won't cut its life in half. (bolt on) I heard hondata and v-afc aren't worth it unless you have a lot of mods.

HELP

Well, everyone is going to say the same thing. From where you are I would go with an exhaust header and then either a test pipe or high flow cat.

You can always get some extra HP from engine managment (Hondata) and a tune as well. Or, just a VAFC.

I agree.

A nice Header and a test pipe/high flow cat.

I agree with everyone else, get a good header. Also, I recommend tuning your car fuel wise. Hondata and VAFC are good, but Uberdata is better and more cost effective. I believe the p13 editor is out now, but I forgot who is the ringleader in that.

Anyways, for the money, I would go uberdata since it is about 140 for the supplies such as p28, socketing kit, and the USB cable for datalogging. It made a world of a difference. My friend used his wideband for tuning so we were not shooting in the dark.

PS - It pulls like no other time when my p13 was in. I also only have i/h/e

After a better exhaust setup i would start thinking about a nice head package. Some nice cams and a good valvetrain to go with them.

also remember that you have to mod the car according to your A/X class rules.

sounds like you're in STS, which means engine management and a header are pretty much all that's left. hondata on a bolt on car will give you decent gains, but a VAFC or less sophisticated management will help too.

Yeah, a good exhaust system and the computer upgrades will help out alot, more than you would really think.
