i just went on a 650mi oneway road trip with my 87EFI sedan... i made it 900mi on 3 an a 1/4 tanks of gas... which is about 27mpg give or take a couple. i was doin atleast 100mph the whole way. which was 5th gear @ 4kRPM... is that normal MPG for accords?? i havnt clocked it yet for city driving but i image its about the same.. FYI; i did a tune up, before i left, new gaskets all around, oil/air filters, blew out the intake, plugs(45guage), an oil change.

 

I have a carbed 87 and I get about 34.5 mpg highway but I'm usually only going 90ish. uts flame suit on:

 

for keeping a steady 4000RPM, 27 MPH is pretty good... i have a carbed accord and it only gets about 21 or 22 mixed... out of tune really bad, though...

 

Just out of curiosity, where can you do 100+ mph for 650 miles in this country, hmmm???

 

dont drive like a retard and keep your rpm's below 3k and you'll get better mileage asshat.

Out west. I-40 in Arizona where the is a whole lot of nothing. I-80 in Utah/Nevada. There are many places...

 

For 650 miles???... (which, by the way, is about 1/4 - 1/3 from sea to shining sea)
