Well I really want to put a nice stereo in my 01 Type R... I was considering MB Quarts, but they are very very expensive.. Something like $500 for just the fronts! What speakers will perform as good, but cheaper in price? I would like high quality speakers, but not really expensive, but no cheap **** either

Chances are, I'll be going with 2 JL Audio 10W3s in a prowedge box.. Not sure on the amp yet.

 

Quart sucks and its crap. It sound too bright or harsh for most automotive applications.

Since you're going JL with the subs...

Get a set of XR650CS for your front doors. You can either mount the tweeter in the stock location or put it in the kickpanel if you find the highs overwhelming. Allocate $200 or so for Dynamat in the front doors and side panels. It is ESSENTIAL that you properly deaden the front doors for the XR650CSs to play to their full potential. They have a supposively play down to 48Hz at -3dB and have killer midbass response. The CS210W3 box you have in mind is nice.... but think about the vantage stealthbox again with the trio of 10W0s. I know someone with this setup and it sounds great.

As for an amp, might as well go with a JL3004.
