what is interchangeable?

basically my alternator is dead and i need to go the cheap way---use what i have

my question: i have a alternator from a 90ish integra. it looks like it will work, does anyone know? if not what are some other cars that will work, cause the junkyards are cleaned out on crx stuff

you can interchange d series alternators with d series , think this is true for sohc , not sure bout the dohc . but try the civics that are at the junk yard .
