I am attending the 2 day RR event at the end of Jan put on by http://www.chinmotorsports.com and was looking to see who else is going. I know Xian is going but cant think of anyone else. Currently, there are 6 spots avaliable. The cost is $200 for one day, or $300 for both. 7 hours of track time per day!

 

Hey im interested in this event. I live on Hilton Head Island, in SC. ive done a few auto X's there but we only used part of the track.

 

I did one of the autoX's there a while back and am looking forward to running the entire track... going to be kinda different without the cones and boxes everywhere

 

Have you ever been to a lapping day or school before? If not, I beleive the novice regestration is full so you will need to be placed on a waiting list.

 

I cant imagine being confined by cones on such a nice, open course as RR. I would go crazy

 

well that just plain sucks.....how is the novice reg. full?? what are the six positions available for??

 

The six openeing are now open for Solo or Instructor positions. If your really interested, putting your name on the waiting list cant hurt.

Do you know if there are spots for one of the days, I have been to vir once and was signed off for solo. The way the schedule looks almost everyone is on the track at the same time, so does experience really matter?

 

how does the waiting list deal work.. i havnt been out on a open track YET..

 

I would contact Ernie Weilding under contact us on their web site. He is the chief instructor so you can talk to him about your prior expereince and work things out with him.

Everyone is on the track at once,, for the most part (minus 30 min at the start of the day, novice only, standing yellow). I think the issue about no more novices has to do with the number of instructors they want to use for the event.
