the apexi n1 sounds like crap, get the ws2 if you go with apexi, or the evo or sp2 from greddy sound pretty good also

The N1 is loud...so if you want to be heard before you get to the place your going then the n1 is for you. i think it sounds good on the 5th gen, just a little to loud for me.
Greddy evo2 sounds really nice.. its deep and has a little growl in vtec.
ive never heard the sp2 system but what ive heard (from other people) it sounds good.

dose any one have and sound clips of these systems? i tryed to search on the net and found nothing but the n1 on a neon

You should also look in to some other exhaust, such as buddy club, 5Zigen makes some OK stuff, Thermal.

I had the N1 on my car for a good year or so. Overall good exhaust, but inside the muffler its baffled, so it kinda defeats the whole N1 "Style" exhaust by having the piping get smaller in the muffler. Peronally ill be switching to the Buddyclub pro spec. And you guys think the N1 is loud, lol.

I posted a question about the Prospec and if anyone had one a few days ago ..... no one responded.

For $400, it sounds like a deal, and as close to straight through as you can get.

Who cares about noise ........ I want flow!!

apexi N1 us the best sounding exhaust on any car. done get the evo unless you want your car to sound like a weed-wacker and have every one make fun of your rice burner. Evo -only sounds good on Rx-7s and Supras

5th gen with Apexi N1 custom turbo back exhaust

Deciding

N1 has the exhaust note of the typical ricey "bees in a tin can" sound.

Ge tthe Greddy. Take a look at the Thermal Classic too. I LOVE mine.

i like my hks sport exhaust. but i have an h23. sounds really good. it's just as quiet as stock while cruising or in idle. gets really loud and deep in wot. and under normal acceleration it has this deep, pornographic groan. hahahaha. i can't wait to hear what it sounds like with headers and a high flow cat.

good luck in finding your perfect exhaust.

Scrap the Apexi(unless boosted). Go with the Greddy or I personally like the Magnaflow cat back systems. They are real deep and nice...

Custom 2.5" cat-back with SMSP/Hytech/Prospeed/Rage header and test-pipe.

All the off-the-shelf stuff will yield the same gains.

Has anyone ever heard of the Hayame Gen. 2 exhaust system? If so, is it any good?

I have used a couple hayame mufflers to build exhaust systems. They are of pretty decent quality (as far as a muffler goes) and have a deep buzz sound to them. We put one on a civic with custom made 2.5" piping and it just had a really deep buzzing sound. Wasn't a high pitched whine or bee can sound, just low buzzing.

If you want to do something different get a blitz nur spec can and make en exhaust system with that

I've heard the N1 on two different Hondas. First, a 99-00 Civic SI, and it sounded a bit ricy, and second, on a little eg hatch with the sohc motor, and it sounded like your typical weedwacker/bees in a can sound.

My GSR had an Apeix WS, i like the more refined, no rice sound.

I dont know, my opinion is that no matter what N/A car ive heard the N1 on, it sounds ricy (DSMs, H/A, Nissan as well)

DC 4-2-1, Custom 2.5", no cat, N1

It is in no way ricey, it's low and LOUD. Didn't have the same setup before the Jackson went on, so I don't know how much the boost would have changed the sound.
