h22a swap problems!!
recently swapped a jdm h22a into my 96 prelude si. the swap went fine, but now my car is running horrible. im getting 150 miles to the tank, its running very rich, black soot all over my back bumper, wont rev past 6500, feels very 'sluggish', feels like the engine is choking when i give it full throttle.
i have a bunch of cel codes:
vtec solenoid valve defect
map sensor
o2 sensor
tp sensor
replaced fuel filter and o2 sensor and still running very rich
does anyone have any idea what is wrong with my car??
thanks in advanced, nick

yea i used the obd II - obd I conversion harness, also using the h22a tb, its a jdm h22a so does that have anything to do with it, i cant see to find the map and tps connectors.
using the stock jdm h22a ecu

uh... The TPS is on the back of the TB, the Map sensor should be on top of the TB.. Your car, being a 1996 does not have the Map sensor on the firewall like all the other 1992-1995 preludes.. So, if your running the JDM TB, and it doesn't have a map sensor on top, thats your problem, because your running without one or have the map sensor plug in the TPS sensor..
i dont believe i have one then, because the "honda specialist" looked at it and tried to find the map sensor and couldnt find it and was baffled. i dont think he was too familiar with jdm h22a's. so there is no spot for a map sensor to plug into?? what do i do??

The connectors come from the main wiring harness.
If your using your original wiring harness, then
you could use your 96 obdII h23 throttle body.
Then you can hook up both of your connectors
since your original tb came with the map sens. and tps.
Someone correct me if this won't work.
