Just drove my first 400+ whp Honda....
A good friend of mine is selling his civic soon, and he gave me the oppourtunity to test drive it today because Im interested in buying it. All I can say is WOW. Its cold in Toronto right now, so traction was a bit of an issue. I layed into the throttle in 3rd gear around 6000rpm, and once full-boost hit (20 psi), both tires broke loose, and I hit the rev-limiter while the wastegate was just screaming. Grabbed 4th, spun a little more, then hooked, and it felt like I was taking off in a jet plane.
Ive owned an R6, and raced numerous dirtbikes and cars, but nothing compared to this. I swear to god Im hooked. This car has ran 11.4 at 127mph not too long ago with a small 22" slick.
Set-up:
Darton Sleeves
Blueprinted and balanced bottom end
Knife edged crank
Crower Rods
Weisco Piston (9.5:1)
Stock Type-R Head and intake manifold
Equal length manifold (Cutom made by a shop around here)
Precision sc61
Rc 880's
Hondata s2000b
etc...
My friends in the process of wanting to move out and buy a condo. The setup only has about 5000kms on it, and he said Im welcome to have a shop check everthing out before hand. Should I go for it? Keep in mind that hes selling this to me for a very very good deal.

I dont want to post pics of the car just yet because Im not sure if the owner wants me to or not.
The cars body is decent, but theres rust in the rear quarter panels like always. Not a big deal for me since Id like to have it painted this winter when I put a cage in it.
What would be a decent price as far as you guys are concerned for it?

buy that bitch. im pushing 290whp and i love it. cant wait to get to 400. by the way can we see some pics of the car and how much are you gonna pay? sounds like a great build
sounds like the same setup my friend has. Yellow EK, made 403 or 404whp. Stock ITR head, Stock LS sleeves, rods pistons and all on a Drag kit. 20psi
