can you weld aluminum to aluminized piping?

Default can you weld aluminum to aluminized piping?

i have an aluminum flange that i need welded onto aluminized piping. can it be done?

No, aluminized piping is steel pipe with a coating on it to help prevent rusting

if the flange fits over the pipe you may be able to flare it, but thats it, steel exhaust flanges are cheap.

im pretty sure hes talkin about a blow off valve flange and no. aluminzed is jsut a coating . not the piping material itself

You can braze them together, but make sure both surfaces are prepped before joining the two pieces.
