Default ITR JDM header - what do I need ?

98 ITR.

Ordered the JDM ITR 2.5" header. What additional will I need to order to make this work and bolt up? (Everything else is stock). I know it probably won't bolt-up to the stock cat, what should I buy that worked for you and where do I get it ?

Also looking for an APEX-i N1 muffler with piping that will bolt up to this. Thanks.

You need a 2.5" in/out cat or test pipe, a 2.5" donut gasket, and modified b-pipe to mount it up.

SMSP offers a ready-made cat, and a piece to remove the bottleneck in a stock ITR b-pipe.

Keep in mind that the new cat you'll need will have to be 1" shorter than the stock ITR cat since the JDM header has a long collector.

Staying vaguely on-topic, why have cats gone up so much in price? When I put my JDM header on, I ordered a universal 2.5" cat from Jeg's for a little over $50. Same thing now is over $150...

Similar price change in Carsound cats?

Does this whole set up still pass Dyno emission inspection in the northeast?

Dunno, I paid $100. for my Carsound through IPS 3 years ago but I think I got a break since I also ordered a header.

I couldn't pass smog here in Cali with the JDM ITR header + 2.5" carsound + ITR cat-back on my GSR. Once I changed the 2.5" carsound cat to the OEM cat (modified to fit the 2.5" collector on the header), then I finally passed. Just some fyi in case smog is an issue for you.

You'll also need the S2k donut gasket.
