92 Accord Fuel Pump/Main Relay
I just replaced the fuel pump on my 85 CRX Si. Thought it was the Main but that little fella checked out okay. Lady in the office next to me has a 92 Accord that is showing the same temperament that my CRX had...runs...stop at store...get back in...no start...30 minutes later, starts...sporatic. I suspect fuel pump failing. I have asked her to listen for the "hum" of the pump energizing when she turns on the ignition. So far, she has heard it each time, but the car has also started.
She doesn't have a book and I just wanted to make sure that there is a Main relay located (more or less) in the same area of her Accord. Lastly, is the fuel pump internal or externally mounted? Thanks in advance to everyone for any help or considerations they can lend .

If the problem usually occurs on hot days it could be the ignition switch or on some models a relay right after the ignition switch. If I remeber correctly the '92 accord has the relay up under the dash not to far from the steering column. Either way the contacts start to deform from from all the use and when the temp is hot it makes the problem worse.

It's to the left of the steering column above the p/s control unit if it has power steering. The pump is in the tank.
