Default which tranny do i have...no serial number

ok, i have a b16a1 swap with the cable tranny and a PR3 ecu but i dont know if it's the J1,S1, or Y1 tranny. i know that it is open differential because of the bar going through the differential. i dont have the serial number sticker on it. what other ways could i find out what it is? i have a few stamped numbers and such on it but i dont know which ones to look at. im wanting to know because if im correct the, if it's the Y1 then i can put an LSD in it later on right? thanks.

If you're in VTEC at 85mph in 5th, then you've got the J1 or S1. My B16A is shelved for now, so I can't tell you the low-range Revs, but I'm sure that someone else can help you without you having to break the law.

Well, it's not going to hurt your engine not knowing the tranny. If the swap came together, just tell us the head type... PR3, or PWO. If it's PR3, then it's either the J1, or S1... PWO, and it's a Y1. If you don't have axles, it's imperative that you learn the tranny, or just go out and buy a teg intermediate shaft.

You can just as easily fit an LSD to a J1 or S1... mwahahahaha...
