Default Stolen stuff from stolen R on ebay... OUTCOME!

well sorry i havent been on for a while... and havent responded to im's... but im still pretty bummed about not being an R owner anymore.

a friend of mine notified me about the 22 or 23rd of this month that my interior... red seats and arm rest and shift **** were on sale on ebay by a guy with no prior ebay exp. and located a few cities away from me.

all day the 23rd i tried calling the police... and they just kept giving me other numbers to call and basically i wasnt getting anywhere. then its christmas eve and evening and everywhere is closed. i waited till the 27th... and that night i left a message at the seattle police intelligence office. the next day a sargeant called me back at 12:30 pm. told him the story and hes said he would work on it... finally maybe some help? well he called me back at 1:00pm and said he contacted the guy and is going to meet him up. i was like what???!!!! how did you do that so fast? in a half an hour he contacted the his fbi friends and then ebay friends and found this guys address and phone number and contacted him. wow!!! all i can say is nobody sell stolen stuff on ebay!!!

well back to the story... they found the armrest and it said 01- and the rest was scratched out. second they found my shift ****... which was not titanium.. i had the black leather one w/ red stitching. but....... the seats he said he had an upolhstry shop do them. that was an unbelievable story if ive ever heard of one. anyways this guy has a prior criminal history and is shady. they found stolen decks and stereo stuff too. well they are investigating so it is ongoing... but basically this guy is pretty screwed is all i can say!

thats it for now folks. i will let you know if i found out any other significant info. btw... i am not worried about posting this thread because i am 100% positive he would never visit this site.

finally justice pays.... a great christmas present to me.

nice to hear that there is some closure and that law enforcement still works... and that another thief is caught.

i wonder if he will rat out who got the motor...

thanks for taking a thief off the streets!

if u come up to van, let us know

Man that is good to here. I cannot stand anyone that steals from anothers hard accomplishments. It is satisfying to see that found an officer that cared of your situation and took action. We all work hard for our cars and damn those (*&(*&(* people that snake around trying to sabatoge and steal what is not theirs because their lowlife sorry *** cannot get something in life themselves.

Sorry had to vent

yeah im sorry about the shift **** thing... it sounds confusing.. but the shift **** was leather... w/ red stitching so i know its mine.

and the stuff will be property of my insurance company because they are giving me a check for the whole thing.

yeah my tenacity did well in this battle.

and i will be 21 in january... and this was my fifth honda... second to be stolen and stripped. i love the import scene but it has taken its toll on me over the years. trying to get my MBA and transfer to santa clara next year.. i have lost the time and money to keep going. i will always be around it and have a passion for everything from motor swaps... to lowering my friends moms accord (hehe). my future is undecided in the car world at this point. you guys are all great though and hopefully you continue in the scene. thanks.
