Default car misfires when it is wet out. Wtf?

well just like the title says whenever it is raining or wet out my car misfires when im driving. it happens when i am driving and hit around 4k rpms makes horrible sound almost like fuel cut and boggs out. any ideas on wtf is going on?

Look for water or condensation in the distributor cap and in the spark plug wells. You don't have a Super Waterslide Hood Scoop that opens over the ignition system do you?

no but my cf hood had pre drilled squirter holes that i just kinde left open and come to think of it the one hole sits right on top of the dizzy

I had the same problem with an aftermarket dizzy cap (I think Wells). Bought an OEM one, and haven't had a wet misfire since.

a new dist cap and rotor button should solve your issue.
