If you use a block gaurd, you have to have it properly installed and welded in there to do any good. Don't just throw it in and call it a day, it needs to be properly welded in.

A Block gaurd properly installed is better than nothing, but re-sleeving is will be better if you can afford it. I assume since you are looking into a block gaurd you do not have the funds to re-sleeve using AEBS, GE (Golden Eagle), Darton or Benson Performance Machining sleeves?
