Defintion of performance(HX)

I was looking through my haynes manuel and it states "VTEC-E is Honda's designation for "Enhancd Performance"." That leads me to believe that performance means fuel economy. Is my assumption correct?

yep not that many parts for that engine if i recall....i could be completely wrong on the parts thing...
