Default how can this be???

93 dx eg hatch with usdm ITR swap vs 92 dx hatch with usdm gsr swap be an almost even race? the race was pretty close going from a 20 punch or so.

the gsr hatch says everything is stock. i saw the motor and he had stock header and stock IM. he had a short ram intake and i don't know what kind of ecu. i'm assuming a chipped p28. he has 2.5" exhuast piping also

the itr hatch has a 4-1 header, cai, crank pulley, and full exhaust.

the gsr hatch was like at the rear tire or so of the itr hatch.

just doesn't seem right to me. i think the gsr hatch had something that he wasn't saying

driver does actually have alot to do with it, such as shifting points and how he shifts ect.
And this could go in.. drag racing, killstories (maybe), or even general discussion

Not to mention that a type r is only like 15hp over a GSR..... so therefor thats like 8whp more and well that isnt much for the other driver to overcome

also, just because they have the ITR or GSR swap doesn't mean they have a matching tranny...i would think a gsr swap w/ gsr or itr tranny would beat an itr swap with gs/rs/ls/se tranny

not saying it's that way, but it's possible

Maybe dude's car isn't running right. Compression and leakdown test should help tell you. Driver can come into the equation, even though it was from a roll. Guy with the B18C1 could have some internal mods, but I don't know why he would since he would get minimal improvement without intake and exhaust mods. Dunno. Weight could come into play, also. Strange things happen on the street sometimes.

the C1 had an intake and an exhaust... oh yeah i was thinking the JDM GSR which is 180 hp not the us 170..... either way its only like 15whp more. So it will still come down to driver.
